A master plan was developed based on two principles: re-densification and mixed-use land. It consists of a set of buildings: multifamily housing on the upper floors and services such as a supermarket, offices, a shopping center, a hotel, and a hospital at street level.
The buildings are interconnected by internal roads (for pedestrians and cyclists) and green public plazas, creating a well-equipped and walkable urban district.
Commissioned by the company Grupo Emporium to create a conceptual urban proposal that provides life and services to the Punta del Cielo Residential Complex, which currently consists of single-family housing development.
A landmark for the city that aims to gradually create a denser urban fabric with improved quality of urban life, reducing transportation distances and generating open spaces for recreation and leisure within short distances.
An open, compact, vertical, and dense district. The complex offers a vibrant urban experience by opening its spaces to the city and creating an area of urban vitality.
Contrary to dense polis, an expanded city demands or requires many more resources: maintenance, long-distance travel, more paving materials, pipes, and extraction of groundwater.
Conscious architecture can maximize efficiency and minimize the use of natural resources to restore balance to nature.
